Scavenger Hunt Sunday

For this weeks Scavenger Hunt Sunday at Ashleys Sisk blog

Food
Two weeks ago I was on course to learn how to make these delicious goodies, do not know what they are called in English, but they taste fantastic...

Purple
Looking for something in the color purple, I found my daughters bicycle in the garden.

In Disquise

Shapes
I found beautiful colors and shapes on my son's dreamcatcher.
He made it in kindergarten and told me that bad dreams stays in the net, disappearing with the light of day. Good dreams pass through and slide down the feathers to the sleeper. Love that idea.

Photographer's Choice
A small collection of autumn images.

Scavenger Hunt - the iPhone way

It is a very long time since I have participated in Scavenger Hunt at Ashley Sisk blog.

This week has been vacation week in our family, we have been in Lalandia, the place where many families with children goes to. 3 days of playing in the water park and playground - the kids loved it so it's worth the money (but the parents needs vacation afterwards...)

I did not bring my DSLR, so this is my first Scavenger Hunt using my iPhone, quit fun...

Macro/Close-Up

while waiting for spring...

This weeks assignment at Shutter divas on Flickr: shooting still life from above...

The assignment
Shooting a still life from above
* shoot from above and straight down at your setting.
* Include still life objects like things, crafts, food ect and decide which story you would like to tell with your props.
* Try to think of your image as a collage and play with colors, textures and composition.

The story for my collage/still life is "while waiting for spring..."

the joy of LOVE - week 1

I signed up for "the joy of LOVE", a 28-day free class from willette.
This has not been the best week for taking time to photograph, but I will do my best to keep up with the assignments:

participants will receive daily email prompts/photo assignments with some tutorial/instruction built into the daily email lesson.

Here are my shots for the first "Joy of love"-week:

My first photoshot!

I decided to participate in the contest that Photocare in Denmark has:
Denmark's loveliest Diva

"The contest is not about finding the perfect model of the correct body measurements or the right height.
Beauty comes in many forms, shapes and ages. Therefore, all women between 16 and 100 years can participate.

We are looking for Denmark's loveliest Diva. How her personality - and charisma shines through in the photograph.

A true diva manages to celebrate her femininity and still remain his own. She dare to shine and stand by the fact that she is a woman. They say that happy women are the most beautiful and charisma comes from inside - that's what we want shines through in your photograph."

My sweet friend Judith agreed to model, and so I had my first willing model, since I usally photograph my children  –  and they don´t stand still for long.
Well, it ended up with me being a bit stressed (or more...) paying more attention to the light and camera than my model. I must certainly practice some more in how to guide my model – that being said I am actually very pleased with my result, and very happy that I had a very beatifull and patient model :-)

Here are some of the results:
(I think that the first one is my fave, and will be my contribution ti the contest.)
