Divas and dreams Free Creative workshop
The assignment:
1. Choose one kind of food you really enjoy. Try to present your favorite food via the simplicity that only a photo can create.
2. Tell us a bit about why you love that food.
I am a FOOD LOVER! I love to cook food, taste food, to decorate food and to watch cooking shows on tv. It is a big passion, this year i added making cakes and decorating them to my hobbies.
For this assignment i choose strawberry. Not only do they taste fantastic they also look fantastic. We have the most delicious strawberry in denmark, and when they are is in season me and my family eat lots of them. We love them as they are, with milk (and sugar...) in/on cakes, with icecream, in salads, as jam, as juice - they are fantastic.
(my parent bought a very old house in france and restored it, in the house they found lots of old stuff. Some things were not worth saving, but also some pretty old stuff as this beautiful coffee cup)
So this is France and i have to tell you a little about the food here. I love french food too. They have so much delicious food, much of it very simple but vey tastefully.
They have a different food culture than in Denmark, they often go out to eat, all the stores closes at 12 and people go out to eat lunch. And not just for one course, but often for a 3-5 course menu - gotta love that! (dont know how they do in the big cityies, this is the countryside)
So yesterday we went out for lunch to celebrate my brothers 27 years birthday. We got a 4 course menu and then you get 2 small starters before the 4 course meal starts! My ekstra food photo for this weeks assignment is the first starter on the menu (so it is actually number 3 since we got the 2 small starter at first...)
Dont you feel like eating it? ;-)

This is who I am { hair flips } Workshop
So this is week 5 of "Divas and dreams" free creative workshop - so much fun!
Assignment:
1. To do a hairflip photo
2. For the written assignment, write some words about how you feel about your hair or hair in general.
This was so much fun to do. I am still new to my camera so it was a very good exercise in shooting movement. First time playing with shutter speed.
So what about my hair? My hair is very thick and curly and when I was younger all I wanted was thin straight hair, of couse... Now a flat iron will do, so sometimes I have curls and sometime i don´t. I´m really happy with that and no bad hair day can ruin my day.

This is who I am { For the love of photo prints }
This is assignment number four for "Diva and dreams" free Creative workshop.
The assignment goes like this;
1. Take/make a photo of a printed photo. The photo you choose can be your favorite, it can be one of your grandparents, a photo of you as a child, a photo someone else has taken, that you just love...everything is allowed, just make sure to include a photo :-) Find some creative way to portrait your photo.
2. In the written assignment, write a little about how you feel about photo prints, do you have a lot or a little, where do you keep them? In a box, album or all over the walls?
My written assignment:
I LOVE PRINTS and i love paper. I have boxes full of old prints and papers samples – matte, glossy, transparent, glitter Coated, uncoated, thin and heavyweight. Many years ago I use to stand in the darkroom making my photos, today – and for the last 10 years – I have only done digital. And I must admit I have a bad conscience thinking about this assignmment, because a lot of my digital photos have never been printed. So I will make myself a promise to do something about that.
On friday when I read this assignment me and Poul had five year wedding anniversary. Can not believe how fast time flies. So I decided that my photo should reflect some of what happened in those five years.
A quick review:
· We got married one year after our first meeting! (perhaps a bit fast
you may think , but it felt right then – and still does :-)
· We held the weddingparty at home, in the house that we just
bought and had started to refurbish.
· We had Mitti the cat and just bought a little puppy Simba
· Today we also have to amazing kids, Isac and Alba
· Although life may seems hard some days, I have no regrets,
I love my life and family, I will remember to appreciate that every day...

This is who I am - part 3 - celebrate emotions
This is part tree of Divas and dreams free workshop.
The assignment:
1. Express the feeeling by taking a photo that symbolise that feeling. You can take a self portrait or you can use a model/friend and ask him/her to express it for you.
2. Write about why you think that feeling is the most dominant one at the moment. And reflect about what the strenght of that emotion is.
The written assignment:
When I first read the assignment last week I was sure that I would pick the word sorrow or sadness, because I just lost a dear friend. Sitting at the funeral crying my eyes out, the prist said that we should remember, that the reason why we feel so sad is because we also feel love, love for the one we lost. So eventhough I still fell very sad, I decided that my feeling in this assignment should be LOVE instead. LOVE to my friend I lost, and LOVE to the friends I still have. The have truely shown me what real friendship is about. I also feel a lot of LOVE around me - coming to me from my family and friends - so my word should definitely be LOVE.

this is who I am - part two

Divas and dreams free creative workshop - new assigment every week, Stop by her blog an join in - it is free.
The written assignment;
1. Choose 3 words that tells something important about your personality. One thing you don´t like and two that you love.
What I love the most about myself is that I´m (insert your word) CARING and (insert your word) CREATIVE.
What I hate the most about myself is that I´m (insert your word) IMPATIENT.
2. When you have your words, I will ask you to make a sentence using all 3 words. One sentence with all 3 words. Write the sentence down on a piece of paper. Do it your way, it dosen´t even have to make sense to others just to you. you will need to use this sentence in you photo assignment.
My sentence:
When I am impatient It can help me in the creative process of being a whole caring human being.
3. Last but not least I will ask you to reflect on your negative word, but in a new and positive way;
The good thing about being (insert your negative word) IMPATIENT is that there is often very little time from a thought in my head to action - I simply do not have the patience to wait for things to happen.
Being (insert your negative word) IMPATIENT is great because it helps me make things happen - or at least I try to...
The Photo assignment;
Take your sentence with the 3 words and use it in your photo somehow.
Want to make a paper crane the Origami way? Take a look.

This is my first assignment - "This is who I am - part 1"
The written assignment:
I picked 4 things that means a lot to me.
The green vase
was a gift from a dear friend. It came with a story and reminds me of a time in my life that was hard to go through. Besides from looking beautiful with or without flowers, it symbolize to me that I got though it with help from very good friends and family.
The Heart Charm Bracelet
was a gift from my children on mothers day. Even though it was my husbond who bought the gift, it means a lot to me. My son is so proud of that he gave it to me - he tells everyone that it is a heart from him and that it says I love you mom. gotta love that :-)
My watch
For my weedding my husbond gave me a beautiful watch, that was stolen shortly after. I didn´t wanted a new one, cause it was to expensive for us to buy again.
So instead he gave me this watch as a present a few years later when i gave birth to our first child Isac.
Gold bracelet
was given to me on my weedding day. It use to belong to my grandmother.
